GL Library, Museum talks
• Ange Kenos writes: “I have had a few Brethren advise me that the second Wednesday of the month clashed with lodge meetings, for exampleBob Jones and his Williamstown Lodge. So I have now changed them to the third Wednesday, except for the nights of QuarterlyCommunications.• “Thus, the next one will now be in October and the topic will be A Discussion on Masonic Etiquette.  I will read a paper previously written many years ago and then invite discussion on its relevance, relationship to social media, and how to better implement/ teach it.” LINK

Quarterly Communication Change
• Garry Runge, Grand Secretary, advises that the September Quarterly Communication has been postponed until December due to the currentCOVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

Regius Manuscript on show
• Colin Peterson, Lecture Master at Ivalda Lodge of Instruction, has posted the Regius Manuscript HERE – “This document is often seen as one of the earliest records of our Fraternity, cited as dating back to 1390 … It is well worth a read and encapsulates the virtues we hold dear even today. The link shows it in Middle English as well as the Halliwell translation.”

Coppin Centre Health Update
• A Coppin Centre circular from Royal Freemasons says: “Two of our residents have become unwell, with cold and flu-like symptoms. These residents have been transported to hospital for further assessment. We have contacted the families involved to notify them of this development. All other staff and residents remain well.”

Masonic Mailbag
• Stan Lewin writes: “I would like to add some suggestions to your article  “VAT advice for publicity”.  From my experience of submitting articles to the Press, the Editors like to see it personalised in some way. Mr X says “……”  or “the awards were presented by Mrs Y, President of  ….” or “Ms   …. went on to say”. Also, the opening sentence of the article should be eye catching. If looking for support, the headline  should be in the form of a question, “Can you help?”.”

What’s In A Name?
• Adam Woledge and Bob Jones have passed on a copy of The Chronicle, newsletter of the Williamstown Lodge, especially important to keep contact during COVID-19 times. Why the name? “This was the name of the first Williamstown newspaper (and first Victoriancommunity newspaper), established in 1854 … the first year a chapter of the Williamstown Freemasons was established (according toWikipedia).”

World News
• The Coventry Telegraph (UK) says a ghostly monk, and a photograph from a Masonic dinner in 1985 has caught the attention of ghost hunters around the world. When the picture was developed it had captured the chilling image of a robed figure standing at the end of a table, near the famous Coventry TapestryLINK
