Charity towards Victorian bushfire victims

One of the central interests of Freemasons in Victoria is charity. Each year, Freemasons give more than $2 million to charity projects across the state, with particular interest in hospitals, and scholarships.

The 2020 bushfires across Victoria, particularly across Gippsland and the North-East, have seen a fast response by Freemasons across Victoria. Freemasons Have a Task Force ready to do practical work.

However, authorities say that one of the biggest needs is for cash to help victims in the recovery and reconstruction process. Already, Freemasons across Victoria have contributed $600,000, and there is more on the way.

Freemasons Victoria has contributed $150,000. Freemasons Foundation Victoria added another $350,000. Lodges and members have tipped in another $100,000 … and the total keeps growing.

All monies are being directed through the Freemasons Foundation Victoria Disaster Relief Fund. This means that 100 cents in the dollar will be received by bushfire victims, firefighters and other local organisations. You can make a donation to the Freemasons Public Charities Foundation Gift Account. BSB: 083-266. Account Number: 97-085-6133. Tax deductible receipts are available.
