1. Australia Day celebrations

• It’s not too late to book for the Australia Day celebrations (Fri., Jan. 26) to be held from 11am for 12 Noon-5pm at Freemasons Bayside. More than 100 people have already booked. $20 tickets, kids free, BYO drinks. BOOK
• The 2024 Grand Re-Installation events are in two parts this year. The Quarterly Communication and Grand Re-Installation (tickets $25 each) for Freemasons only will be held from 5.30pm-10pm on Friday, April 5 at Freemasons Bayside. The Grand Banquet (tickets $170 each) will be from 6.30pm on Saturday, April 6, at the Park Hyatt Melbourne. BOOK
• There will be no Quarterly Communication in March 2024. 

• The Grand Installation for the Grand Lodge of South Australia and the Northern Territory will be held in Adelaide from Friday- Sunday, April 12-14.

2. Pithy Paragraphs
• Many Lodges use Bunnings Sausage Sizzles as fundraisers. Effective February 1, the price of canned drinks and bottled water at  sizzles will increase from $1.50 to $2.00. The price of a sausage in bread will remain at $3.50 (with or without onions).
• The final meeting at Freemasons Ivalda before the refurbishment takes place will be at 7.15pm on Thursday, February 29, being held by Ivanhoe Lodge. Ivalda is expected to re-open in time for the Centenary in May 2025.

• High Cattermole, CEO at Royal Freemasons, advises that the sale of the Flora Hill facility at Bendigo is expected to be completed by May 1. Mecwacare takes over. READ MORE
• A $54 million retirement village expansion is planned by the Royal Freemasons Benevolent Institution (NSW), reports the Dubbo Daily Liberal.
• John Blyth says that preparations are underway for the proposed Sir Redmond Barry Lodge for Brethren in the legal fraternity. EMAIL
• Jim Jolly has had success in having Masonic reports being published in the East Gippsland Newspapers group including the Bairnsdale Advertiser.
