Welcome to our new FVNews website

Welcome to the website for the 2020-21 Communications and Marketing Action Team for Freemasons Victoria.

You will find the latest news of what’s happening in Freemasonry around Victoria. This website is updated daily and is available to the general public. Our aim is to emphasise the ‘positives’ of a great fraternity. Each day, we ‘cherry-pick’ and publish the best items about our fraternity.

Freemasons Victoria is an organisation of more than 8000 good men, supporting each other, their families and the community. Freemasons in Victoria have been active in the community for over 170 years, enabling personal development, creating lasting friendships, and supporting the community.

Freemasons Victoria has its main website at https://fmv.org.au/ – it includes an introduction for intending members, log-ins for members and secretaries, and a rich vault of resources for lodges.

This extra website – www.FVNews.com.au – is designed so that members and the public have a quick source for latest news and events. The website has the flexibility of news reports, podcasts and videos, a What’s On guide (in development), moderated comments, and easy interactive forms for feedback.

The Board of General Purposes has appointed Bro. Ash Long as Chair of the Communications and Marketing Volunteer Action Team. He has been asked by a panel of the Board to have the team underway. Members of the Committee will be announced in due course.

Freemasonry’s three great principles are:
Brotherly love
Every true Freemason will show tolerance and respect for the opinions of others and behave with kindness and understanding all people.

Relief
Freemasons are taught to practise charity, and to care, not only for their members, but for the community as a whole, through charitable giving and voluntary effort.

Truth
Freemasonry strives for truth and requires high moral standards of its members.
