The Day When Greece Said ‘No’

• Jim Karabatsos writes: “October 28 is the 80th anniversary of the day that Greece was drawn into WWII, when it responded to the Italian ultimatum to allow the Axis forces to occupy Greece with the laconic “No”. It is celebrated each year in Greece as a national holiday. In 2018, Gregorios Lodge developed a commemorative ceremony which was approved by the GM. This year is the third time it will be celebrated and our Grand Master will be participating too. Due to the restrictions caused by the current pandemic, it will be a little different this year, being run online via Zoom. We are expecting a good turnout from around the world, especially Greece and Cyprus. The event is open to everyone, not just Freemasons.”

Blame The Freemasons
• “Many conspiracy theorists believe that Illuminati and Freemasonry have direct roles in determining the results of the upcoming US presidential elections,” says the International Business Times – Singapore EditionDonald Trump was tested positive for Coronavirus just 33 days before the elections, and it has made many conspiracy theorists believe that the recent developments are indicating the role ofFreemasonry and the Illuminati in the upcoming elections. Scott L Biddie, a popular conspiracy theorist, and an author claimed that Trump’s coronavirus positive test was planned by Freemasonry, and according to Biddie, the number 33 has great significance..” LINK

Masonic Mailbag
• Brendan Kyne writes: “Firstly, I have to concur with the comments of my esteemed colleague, Bro Nik Sakellaropoulos, regarding the value of your daily publication. And both Bro. Nik and I think it is wonderful that you have advised the brethren of the Certificate of Masonic Education offered by the Grand Lodge of India, as competition in the market place is always good.  So, on that note, the Victorian Lodge of Research has since 2008 run a Certificate of Masonic Studies and as of February 2018 the course has been available as an on-line option.  Contact the Lodge secretary for further details –lordbiff@hotmail.com
• Editor replies: Thanks Brendan. The Grand Lodge of India course only rated a mention because they are charging 1000 Rand (A$84) to participate.
