Famous Freemasons
• Zanuck, Darryl Francis (1902-1970) – Darryl Zanuck was a writer, actor, producer, and studio executive who, in 1933, became a co-founder of 20th Century Fox. Films such as The Jazz Singer (1927); The Longest Day (1962); The Sound of Music (1965) and Patton (1970), made him a legend, yet the memorial by his family notes his Masonic affiliation and achievements above all his other accomplishments. Brother Zanuck belonged to Mount Olive Lodge No. 506, Los Angeles, California.
– Timothy Horton

Masonic Knowledge
• Masonic Etiquette. “An act of Masonic etiquette is some movement, action, courteous gesture or speech performed at a given time and place, in a certain manner, and according to rules, fixed and imposed by the Fraternity itself. Since the rules are for the good of the Craft as a whole, it affects each member. An organisation such as ours adopts these rules to better enable it to carry out its good work in an atmosphere of harmony. They are not empty and meaningless, and they are not arbitrarily enacted. The rules have been tested, and they work!” – Masonic Etiquette Protocol and Decorum

Masonic Wisdom
• “During the time I have been in the army, I never knew a bad soldier who was a Freemason.” – Duke of Wellington

The Last Word
• “Brotherly love, belief, truth, temperance, fortitude, prudence, justice – these are far more potent to human development, to human relations, to human life, than are the rules of science. It is simply a question of physical of spiritual values”. – Bro. L. L. Williams
