• It’s July 1 – so Masonic Centres and Lodges across Victoria are re-opening after another COVID lockdown. Health restrictions and physical distancing rules mean Initiations and Passings can take place. The Freemasons Future Recovery Team is hoping that Raisings and Full Closings might resume on August 1. The rules surrounding re-opening were included in an email from Grand Secretary Garry Runge last Friday (June 25).

• Now that activities have re-started, FVNews resumes. We are aiming for weekly Thursday publication.

• We regret to advise of the passing to the Grand Lodge Above of Wor Bro Denis Kroezen, who passed away on Tuesday afternoon (June 29). Wor. Bro. Allan Thompson, Lodge Eschcol, advises that it is envisaged that the funeral service will be held in Kyneton.

• Jim Jolly, Secretary, Bairnsdale Daylight Lodge, advises funeral service details for Bro. Peter Moore: 2pm, Tuesday, July 6 at Anglican Church, Church St., Bruthen. A Masonic funeral has been deemed appropriate by the family. Attendance is limited to 50 people. The burial will be at Delegate where Peter’s wife is buried.
