1. Watch the replay of the Quarterly Communication

• Grand Master Richard Elkington delivered two powerful addresses at the Quarterly Communication held at Freemasons Bayside on Monday night (July 12). So too did Change Management ChairmanRobert Brennand, and Grand Chaplain Felix Pintado. To watch the replay, go to the Freemasons Victoria website – https://www.freemasonsvic.net.au, log in, click on Events.

3. The Caledonians
• Tom Stirling advises: “Calling all Scottish Freemasons. Or those who would like to be. Why not join us in demonstrating the First and Third Degrees as worked under the Scottish Constitution. We do this as a community service, as the monies raised by our visits, is donated to a charity of the host lodge’s choosing.” Contact Tom, phone 9438 2038, 0467 453 122. Email: motstir@hotmail.com

4. Comms Success Stories

• Ivan ‘Bill’ Warner’s receipt of a Rotary ‘Paul Harris Fellow’ award is featured in The Local Paper – Greater Dandenong Edition (July 14).
• Comms VAT member Bob Pullin reports that 78 were in attendance at the Geelong Lodge of Unity and Prudence Installation.
• And a Comms stumble. Apologies for the missing FVNews: the Editor has been walking on an undiagnosed broken leg for a few weeks. He hasn’t been playing his A-Grade.

5. Time capsule opened
• “The Mount Kisco Masonic Lodge took a step back into history last Friday.

Lodge brothers opened a time capsule that had been placed behind the cornerstone of the 1931 building on Carpenter Avenue, which has served as the local chapter’s headquarters, or temple, and meeting space.

• “The reason why we’re opening it, quite frankly, is it’s our 150th anniversary and we feel it’s close enough and we’re excited to see the contents and see a little bit of history,” said Gordon Moccio, commander of the Mount Kisco lodge prior to a ceremony and dinner in commemoration of the milestone.” Read more at www.theexaminernews.com

There will be refreshments after the service in the chapel hall. The service will be live streamed for those who cannot make it in person.
