1. Grand Master’s Doings
• Grand Master Richard Elkington is scheduled to be re-installed on the weekend of March 25-27, 2022. Bookings will open in January.

• Richard attended the Grand Ceremonial Team’s Christmas picnic at Castlemaine.

• Richard presented a $25,000 cheque to the Smith Family charity.

• Richard addressed the Monash Gully District meeting.

• The Grand Master presented a donation to the Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Association.

• The Grand Master hosted a luncheon at the Victoria Golf Club, Kew, for Past Grand Masters. He met with Chapter and Mark representatives, and attended a FV staff Christmas get-together.
• The Grand Master extended Christmas-New Year greetings to all at last week’s Quarterly Communication.

2. Pithy Paragraphs
• The Grand Secretariat will be closed for the Christmas period commencing Friday (Dec. 24) and will re-open on Monday, January 10.
• Jim Jolly says the Bairnsdale Advertiser published a photo-story about Freemasons scholarships.

• A photo of Garry Sebo presenting a 50-year jewel to Roger Wilson was in The Local Paper – Southern Cross Weekly Edition.
• Milton Tsaktsiras’s installation at Ivanhoe Grammarians Lodge was pictured on the front-page of The Local Paper – Heidelberger Edition.
• 
Liam Cole 
successfully submitted a press release to local newspapers about Guthridge Primary School being this year’s recipient of assistance from Gippsland Lodge.
• Richard Skinner says the  inaugural Australian Rotary Health and Freemasons Victoria Gala dinner dance has a new date: Friday, February 4.

• Photos of the Traralgon Lodge Christmas event have been forwarded to the FV Marketing staff for the Journal.

• Freemasons Foundation advises that applications for 2022 scholarships are now open. LINK

4. Feast of St John

• Brendan Kyne advises that the holding the third Feast of St John will be online at 7.30pm on Monday, December 27  There will be the usual opening and closing of a lodge using a European St John’s Lodge ritual, as well as two short presentations on aspects of the St John Freemasonry tradition, one historical and the other more symbolical/spiritual. ZOOM Meeting ID: 848 2322 6593  Passcode: 530423
