1. Grand Master’s Doings
• Grand Master Richard Elkington has distributed his latest VIDEO CHAT.

• Richard topped up the Australia Day barbecueproceeds to create a $6000 donation for Bayside Community Relief.
• Richard has begun his 2022 visiting rounds which included a Royal and Select meeting at Baxter.

• The Grand Master is looking forward to the inaugural meetings soon of the new Masonic Council and Commercial Council, and the holding company Freemasons Holdings Ltd.
• The Grand Master says the Cultural and Behaviour Survey, to be conducted by Share Tree, is an important vehicle in which every Victorian Freemason can have their say.

• The Grand Master has welcomed Bruce Cowie to the position of Grand Secretary. Bruce has already commenced duties.

• Preparations are well underway for the Grand Re-Installation at Freemasons Bayside on Saturday, March 26, followed by a Banquet at the Park Hyatt.

2. Pithy Paragraphs
• Wes Turnbull’s son, Carter, 21, won gold in his cycling event of choice, the Under 23 Men’s Road Race in the National Cycling Championships. He took fourth place in general events. He is racing with the Trinity Cycling Team in Europe, and will be participating in the Junior Tour de France.

• Chapter, Mark and Ark have a new website: www.beyondthecraft.net.au
• Ian Samuel says Freemasons Cowes is currently being fenced off for the removal of the asbestos roof, and reroofing with steel colorbond roofing. “This was made possible by the $52,000 grant from the Freemasons Victoria building fund.”

• Last week’s scheduled publication of FVNews was knocked out by a sudden power outage that also cooked some of our computer equipment. Some listings in a draft edition were casualties, and have vanished. Our apologies. If your item is not published today, please re-submit.

• A 50-year jewel presentation to Geoff Petrie is scheduled for tonight’s North Melbourne Lodge meeting at Freemasons Melbourne.

• Ted Gibbs was recognised in the 2022 City of Kingston Citizen of the Year awards.

4. Comms Success Stories

• Deputy Grand Master Tony Bucca, Frank Foo and Emmanuel Marabeliotakis were pictured on the front-pages of last week’s North-West, Heidelberger and Diamond Valley News editions of The Local Paper.

• The Bairnsdale Advertiser has published a photo-story about Bairnsdale Daylight Lodge’s 15 presentations totalling $4000 at five local primary schools.

• Senior Grand Warden John Rodrigo was pictured with new Albert Edward Lodge (Alexandra) Master David Dimech in the Murrindindi (Regional) edition of The Local Paper.

• Zetland Lodge’s scholarship presentations were featured in the Midland Express.

• A photo spread of the Australia Day get-together at Freemasons Bayside appeared in many Local Paper editions around Melbourne. Featured in the photos are Garry Runge, Richard Elkington, Frank Lombardo, Rick Durra, Gary Liew, David Foong, Amy and Frank Foo, Anthony Bucca, Chris Dzanovski, Mark Harrison, Sashi Sanmugathas, Bruce and Lynne Stockdale, Suresh Marcandan, Tony del Nevo, Gerry Spilotis and Geoff Paton.
