1. Grand Master’s Doings
• Grand Master Richard Elkington will attend the Western District ‘Super Saturday’ on March 5. There will be the passing of 12 EAs.

• Richard attended the Plaridel Lodge Installation at Freemasons Bayside last Saturday (Feb. 26). Deputy Grand Master Anthony Bucca was at the Gregorios Installation at Freemasons Melbourne on the same day.

• The Grand Master will be attending the Grand Lodge Ceremonial Team weekend at Ballarat over the Labor Day Long Weekend.

• Richard spoke at Middle Park Lodge.

• Richard presented a 60-year jewel to Jim Hood at Traralgon Lodge.

2. Pithy Paragraphs

• Members have until 5pm today (Mon., Feb. 28) to complete the Culture and Behaviour Survey. LINK
• Freemasons Western Australia are taking their annual meeting to Southern Cross, near Kalgoorlie. READ

• The funeral service for John Berryman will be a private one.

• A Communications and Marketing Volunteer Action Team meeting was held by Zoom last Wednesday. In attendance were Frank Warner (Acting CEO), Domenic La Rocca, Ash LongWayne Motton, Xavier Murtagh, Luke Potter and Andrew Power. The VAT is currently meeting on a fortnightly basis.

• The Sir John Quick Lodge installation at Freemasons Bendigo had to be cancelled because the Master-Elect was in COVID-19 isolation.

4. Spring Vale Lodge

• Ivan ‘Bill’ Warner writes: “Spring Vale Lodge No 389 was Consecrated in 1925. It has an interesting History  I was initiated in Spring Vale Lodge in 1949 and have remained with it ever since.  I am trying to write up some collectable history of the Lodge and  have a certain amount: two Keji Boxes. plus a few other extraneous bits and pieces. In 2019 I will received my 75-year jewel, In 2025 I am hoping the GM will approve a Re-Consecration of the Spring Vale Lodge in September 2025• “Would you kindly advertise on your Newsletter that I am looking for  Information, old Installation Cards etc about Spring Vale.  I will be 100 years of age on  December 23, 2025.  So, as you can Imagine, I have a close affiliation with Spring Vale Lodge as I was born shortly after it was Consecrated.  I also have photos of the Soldiers Memorial Hall which was  built after the First World War.”• Bill’s email address is: warnerivan1@gmail.com

9. Freemasons Foundation Latest

• Freemasons in Mansfield have held a community meeting to try and organise a committee to introduce the Let’s Tall program to the Mansfield community with representatives from Let’s Talk in Warrnambool attending.• In November, the Freemasons Foundation Victoria Board agreed to a $20,000 grant to State School Relief, which are publicising their work in the Traralgon area on local radio. FFV Chairman Rod Lavin has agreed to be interviewed by the local radio station.
