1.  Grand Master’s Doings
• Grand Master Richard Elkington was announced as recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours.
• 
Amongst the media coverage of the award was the lead story on Prime TV News. WATCH

• Richard also conducted interviews with WIN-TV and the Latrobe Valley Express.

• Richard was at Williamstown Lodge for the presentation of Grand Rank to District Co-Ordinator Emmanuel Marabeliotakis. A photo appears on Page 3 of the North-West Edition of The Local Paper.
• The Grand Master is attending Gippsland Lodge for the second month in a row, this time for a Third Degree.
• Richard
 attended the Installation at North Melbourne Lodge of Christopher Christoff.

2. Comms Success Stories
• A full-page of photos from the Gisborne Lodge Re-Enactment of Consecration appeared in the Melbourne Observer and 38 areas of The Local Paper.

• The Freemasons Foundation presentation of scholarships at Maryborough have featured on social media. Scholarship Awards that this year have provided more than $188,000 to students across Victoria. This figure is bulked up to $400,000 annually when Bursaries and Tertiary Scholarships are added. 
• Advance publicity for the Woolamai Lodge Re-Enactment of Consecration appeared in the South Gippsland Sentinel-Times.
• Beryl and Lindsay Patullo’s OAM awards are on the front page this week of five Local Paper editions in the northern suburbs.
• Grand Master Richard Elkington appeared with Macedon Ranges Deputy Mayor Rob Guthrie on the front-page of the North-West Edition of The Local Paper.

• Powlett Lodge, Wonthaggi, has published a recruitment piece in the South Gippsland Sentinel Times. READ HERE

• The Gippsland Times has reported on Iain Nicolson’s work as a health professional at Loch Sport.
• TheMaryborough Advertiser has given generous publicity to the scholarship support given by Freemasons.

3. Pithy Paragraphs

• Eddie Koene reports thatCar 321 (the Masonic car) has raised in excess of $250,000 in its association with Variety the Children’s Charity with a considerable sum derived from the generous support of the lodges of Victoria. For the 20th time Car 321 is representing Freemasonry in the 2022 Variety Vic Bash. Funds are being raised through BSB 063502 Account No 10979931.
• The cold of Winter 2022 has led to the June meeting of Mitchell Lodge at Broadford being cancelled.

• Geoffrey Tate, 99, now of Adelaide, received his 80-year service jewel from Freemasons Victoria, by representatives of the SA & NT jurisdiction.

• The launch of a booklet and USB stick with music for lodges will be launched at Freemasons Greensborough on Saturday. Book/USB cost: $20.
• John Patterson’s role as a First Responder (Captain of Lismore CFA) was explored by Nicole Chavstek on ABC Radio. LISTEN HERE (02:20:00 mark on Wednesday, June 8).

• Kent Henderson advises that his new book, Famous Freemasons Who Changed The World, will be published by Lewis Masonic (England) on July 1.

• The Central District is holding a ‘Welcome Back’ night on Wednesday, June 29. A tour of the Freemasons Melbourne facility will be held at 6pm.

• Whittlesea Lodge raised $1265 and $1165 using wood donated by District Co-Ordinator Rahim Samat.

The original written agreement is still in the hands of the lodge, and it shows the deal with borough officials certainly resembles something like an air rights agreement.
