1.  Grand Master’s Doings
• Richard Elkington, accompanied by Anthony Bucca and many of the 2022 Grand Lodge Team, made their way to Brisbane last weekend for the United Grand Lodge of Queensland Grand Installation.

• The Grand Master is to be at a cheque presentation being made by Lodge Gregorios.

• The Grand Master’s calendar of July installations includes Lodge of the Golden Fleece, Antient York Lodge, The Army Lodge, Cobram Lodge and SEAVIC Lodge. The Deputy Grand Master is installing this month at Berwick Balcara Lodge, Brighton District Lodge, Monash Lodge, Kensington Lodge and Shepparton-Mooroopna Lodge. And July is supposed to be a quiet month!

• On Richard’s behalf, Freemasons SA & NT senior officers including SA GM David Booker presented an 80-year jewel to Geoffrey Tate at the Waterford Cafe at his retirement village. The 99-year-old was initiated into Ringwood Lodge, joined Croydon Lodge (later named Maroondah Daylight Lodge).

2. Communications Topics
• The Freemasons Foundation Victoria has published its first Square and Compasses newsletter.

• The second part of a discussion paper on Freemasons Victoria online opportunities is being given this week by Xavier Murtagh of the Communications and Marketing Volunteer Action Team.

• ‘Well done’ to the Colac Lodge team on their latest five-page On The Level newsletter.

• A photo page of Spiro Perdiokomatis’s Installation at Glenroy Lodge is published in this week’s Melbourne Observer and The Local Paper network of 38 newspapers.

3. Pithy Paragraphs

• Congratulations to the Lodge of the Golden Fleece on its Centenary, to be celebrated this Saturday (July 9) at The Australian Club.

• The presentation of a 50-Year Jewel to Past Grand Master Bob Jones will finally take place at Williamstown on Wednesday, July 13.
• Aprotocol for District Co-Ordinators at Installations has been issued by the Grand Inspector of Workings in conjunction with the Grand Director of Ceremonies.
• Dr Mike Kearsley has ghad to withdraw from the Victorian Masonic Convention on August 26-28. A replacement speaker is being organised.

• Colac Lodge is holding informal practice sessions every Sunday night.

• TheFreemasons Victoria Integrity Unit has distributed its fifth newsletter.
