1. This Week

• Anthony Bucca, Grand Master-Elect, is continuing his country Victoria focus, with weekend visits to Kyabram-Echuca, Wonthaggi, Wodonga and Wangaratta this month. He will officiate at the Campaspe Valley Lodge Installation at Echuca today (Sat.).

• The Grand Master-Elect will be at the Installation of Don Roy at Powlett Lodge at Wonthaggi on Saturday, October 8.
• Anthony Bucca was at Banksia Gardens Community Services at Broadmeadows on Thursday to support a $38,000 cheque handover in association with the Fr Bob Maguire Foundation program. The Grand Master-Elect was interviewed by Seb Costello for A Current Affair (Nine Network).
• The Grand Master-Elect will be keynote speaker at the Northern District Annual Meeting and Dinner at Freemasons Ivalda at 7.30pm, Thursday, October 27. Comedian Dave O’Neil will appear in the South. BOOK

• The mourning period for the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will continue until October 31.
• Portraits of King Charles III will be available through Members of Parliament. Existing portraits of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II suitably draped in black cloth may remain in place until that time.
• Bookings are already being made for the Grand Installation 2023 weekend. BOOK

• Mordialloc Lodge of Charity’s Table Lodge planned for October will now take place in February. The change of date respects the decision not to have Masonic Fires during the period of mourning for Queen Elizabeth II.

• Congratulations to Jim Jolly who continues a regular flow of Masonic reports for the Bairnsdale Advertiser newspaper.

• Freemasons Avoca re-opens on Wednesday (Oct. 5) with a First Degree.

• Don Reynolds will officiate at Swan Hill on Saturday, October 8, in the absence of Richard Elkington.

• The Four Dice Casino Night, conducted by North Melbourne Lodge, on Melbourne Cup Eve (8pm-11.30pm) at Freemasons Melbourne has an entry fee of $30 which includes play money and light supper, drinks are available. For over 18, proceeds to charity (including Hotham Mission in North Melbourne). All gaming is with allocated play money. Further play money can be purchased, but not be redeemed for currency. BOOK
