Funeral Service details for VWBro. Anton Alers, DGSuptWorks
• A Masonic Service, led by the Grand Master Anthony Bucca, will be held at the funeral service for VWBro. Anton Alers to be held at 12 Noon this Thursday (May 25) at the Renowden Chapel, Springvale Crematorium. There will be a live streaming of the service. Head to www.smct.org.au – click on upcoming services, select ‘watch online’, find and select the service for Cornelius Anton Richard Alers. Arrangements are in the hands of Terry Clifton of Prestige Funerals.

• The Grand Master, Anthony Bucca, attended a meeting of Freemasons Foundation Victoria yesterday (Mon., May 22).
• The Grand Master participated in the Reconsecration of United Press Lodge at Freemasons Box Hill last Saturday (May 20).
• There was a full house at the Victorian Lodge of Research at the Grandview Hotel, Fairfield, last Friday night (May 19) to hear the Grand Master’s lecture on Rhetoric and WBro. Sir Redmond Barry.
• The Grand Master will join the Deputy Grand Master (Peter Henshall) who is officiating at Lodge Fraternal’s Installation at Freemasons Bayside on Wednesday night (May 24).
• Will the Grand Master be making a surprise visit to your Lodge?
• The Grand Master has agreed to a visit to Lodge Amalthea at 5.45pm on Tuesday, June 27, at which Bank Place Lodge will be making an official visit for a First Degree. Venue is The Australian Club. Dinner: $100. BOOK
• The Grand Lodge Ceremonial Team will be out in force, with their partners, at the Combined Teams Dinner to be held at Freemasons Melbourne from 6.30pm-9.30pm. Tickets: $90 for two course meal with drinks package. Team members should BOOK.
• The Grand Master is driving to Deniliquin (NSW) this weekend. An Installation is taking place at Deni this weekend (May 26-28), tyling at 3pm on Saturday, May 27. A ladies afternoon tea function ($20) will be hosted by local Mayor, Cr Peta Betts. The banquet ($40) will take place from 6.30pm at the Deniliquin RSL private dining room.
• Preparations are underway for the Grand Master to attend the North Melbourne Lodge Installation to be held at 6pm on Monday, June 5 at Freemasons Melbourne.
• The Grand Master will be greeting hundreds of Brethren who have booked for the Quarterly Communication to be held at Freemasons Bayside at 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 21. Free event. BOOK
• The Grand Master encourages all to book for the Exemplification Day (no cost) to be held at 1.30pm on Saturday, June 24 at Freemasons Melbourne. BOOK
• The Grand Master and his Deputy intend to travel to Sydney on the September 16-17 weekend for the Re-Installation of Leslie Hicks as Grand Master. The team was unable to attend the Installation of MWBro Hicks due to COVID restrictions last year. The Grand Master would welcome any team members who wish to form a delegation to travel that weekend with him.

Fish and chips, with a glass of wine, will be served in an ‘informal-ish’ South for the Victorian Naval and Military Lodge meeting to be held after the 6.30pm meeting on Thursday, June 1, at Freemasons Melbourne, at which a Double Second Degree will be worked.

• Western District Freemasons
are contributing towards modifications for a wheelchair hoist on a mobility van.
• Garry Runge will represent the Grand Master this Friday (May 26) for the Annual Firemans Night to be held by Mordialloc Lodge of Charity at Freemasons Keysborough. 
Ivanhoe Grammarians Lodge will visit Walhalla Lodge on Sunday, August 13, staying the Saturday night at the Star Hotel.
