Our 100th Issue
• This is the 100th issue of FVNews Daily. The first issue of this newsletter was published on April 15. Our continuing mission is to publish a daily communication with positive news about Freemasons Victoria and its members. This is an opt-in service, available by email subscription, and also at our website. A synopsis is available each day on social media. We reach about 2000 members daily, about a quarter of the total membership. Our target is to grow that figure to 4000 in the next 12 months. We take this opportunity to thank our readers for their support and encouragement. The FVNews Daily is produced at no cost whatsoever to the organisation by the Communications and Marketing Volunteer Action Team. Costs have been met by a private donation. It is a privilege to serve the members of this great fraternity.

Congratulatory messages
• Richard Elkington, Grand Master, said: “I am grateful to members of the Communications and Marketing VAT for the fabulous communication tool, FVNews. It’s been the right publication at the right time to keep us all connected  and informed about what’s going on.”
• Anthony Bucca, Deputy Grand Master, said: “Well done to the Communications and Marketing VAT on the 100th issue of FVNews Daily. Ihope the first of many such milestones. I have been a subscriber from day 1 and it has become an indispensable guide to what’s on with many useful links to which I refer constantly.  Lots of useful and current information and I particularly enjoy Famous Freemasons and Masonic Wisdom.Keep up the great work.”
• Garry Runge, Grand Secretary, said: “Congratulations to the Communications and Marketing Team for reaching a great milestone. The ability to communicate with our brethren has been enhanced by the initiative of FVNews. Keep the dialogue going!”

Vale Graham Padbury
• Neil Moehr, District Almoner, advises of the sad passing of Wor. Bro. Graham Padbury (1934-2020) of Mansfield Lodge. Graham was not well for a considerable time and had been in Buckland Nursing Home for the last few weeks. Graham was a very keen member of the lodge for many years, serving as Chaplain, Treasurer and other offices. The Lodge sends its condolences to his wife Nell, also a very active member of theLadies Auxiliary, and his family.”

Ivanhoe goes to Venezuela
• Alexis Rivero, one of Ivanhoe Grammarians Lodge’s newest members, last night (Thurs.) took a gathering to his home country of Venezuela…. virtually. Alexis offered a presentation of Freemasonry in Venezuela, where his Mother Lodge meets every Monday, and often every Wednesday. Candidates have to discover their own way to the unmarked, secretly located Masonic Temple when it is time for their First Degree. Visitors to the Lodge meeting included Paul Brennand, Ian Thompson, Bernard Henry and Ben Quick.

• Freemasons in the UK have doubled the effectiveness of a community campaign. The Worthing Herald reports: “The Viatores Lodge, based at the Charmandean Centre in Worthing, raised £540 for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice through raffles and a ladies dinner. Members then decided to make an application to the Provincial Grand Lodge of Sussex for match funding, which was successful. Robert Pickett, master of Viatores Lodge, said: “Viatores Lodge has, therefore, been able, with their help, to double its contribution to this worthy charity.” LINK
