1. This Week

• The Grand Master, Anthony Bucca, will travel to Mildura for the 100-year celebration and Reconsecration at Freemasons Sunraysia (Irymple) on Saturday, July 8.
• The Grand Master was accompanied by many dozens of Brethren to last Saturday’s Annual Masonic Service at Temple Beth Israel, St Kilda.

• The Grand Master is welcoming the new Masonic Council and Commercial Council members who took office on Saturday (July 1).
• The Grand Master last week attended the funeral service for RWBro. Wayne Smith, PDGM, at Tobin Brothers, Diamond Creek. Len Lacey and Ron Goodburn led the Masonic Commemoration.

• The Grand Master had also attended the funeral service held for RWBro. Don Hall, PJGW, at Freemasons Bayside.
• The Grand Master last week made a visit to the joint meeting of Lodge Amalthea and Bank Place Lodge.

• The Grand Master will tomorrow (Thu., July 6) officiate at the Sandringham District Lodge Installation of Dale Foster at Bayside.
• The Grand Master will officiate at the Antient York Lodge Installation of Laurie Jacobs at Preston on Thursday (July 13).
• In the following weeks, the Grand Master will attend the Supreme Grand Chapter Convocation (Wed., July 19), install at Maritime Lodge (Sat., July 22), and participate in the United Service Lodge Reconsecration at Keysborough (Sat., July 29).
• The Grand Master and his Deputy intend to travel to Sydney on the September 16-17 weekend for the Re-Installation of Leslie Hicks as Grand Master. The team was unable to attend the Installation of MWBro Hicks due to COVID restrictions last year. The Grand Master would welcome any team members who wish to form a delegation to travel that weekend with him.

• Barry Colyer this month receives his 50-Year jewel from Bill Jones at United Ararat Lodge.

• Laurie Wadeson, Master of Learmonth Lodge, is seeking to organise a District 106 Masters photograph.

• Jared Shaw writes: WBro. Lord Baden-Powell was promoted to Grand Lodge Above on July 3 after a short illness. He was Past Master of Baden-Powell Lodge No 488 (UGLV) an honorary member of numerous lodges worldwide including Lodge Amalthea 914 (UGLV), Lodge Unity Peace and Concord 316 (EC). Scouts Victoria have a LINK to a tribute – ‘Gone Home’.
• Ken Calder says that the St George Lodge (Dunolly) meeting for July has been cancelled.
• Randy Walton of Leura Lodge has sent a Camperdown Chronicle clipping with positive publicity about Freemasonry.
• The Freemasons Foundation has published its latest edition of Square and Compasses. READ ONLINE
• Brian Bennett advises that no more bookings can be accepted for the Lodge Killara Installation on Saturday (July 8), with more than 100 already booked.
• Ian Samuel of the Phillip Island Lodge says that a Christmas In July function will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, July 21 at the Daylston Church Restaurant. (Victorian Naval and Military Lodge have their event on Thursday (July 6); so does Clifton Hill Lodge; Gippsland Lakes Lodge members and friends will gather on Saturday (July 8); Admiral Collingwood Lodge is holding a Christmas In July event at Freemasons Ivalda on Tuesday, July 25; Lodge Bharat celebrate at Freemasons Melbourne on Friday, July 28.)
