Albert George King PSGW, aged 98 years.George had been the Secretary of RBL for 31 years before ill health forced him into care many years ago. “A good and faithful servant to Freemasonry in many orders.” (Thanks to Barry Minster, Grand Almoner.)
Happy 64th anniversary
• Carl Stewart, Past Grand Master, and his wife Pat, celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary tomorrow (Tues.). Hearty good wishes to them both. Bruce and Lynne Stockdale paid a visit to them at the weekend, talking long-distance through a window (and a fence) at the Coppin Centreat Royal Freemasons which is in total lockdown.
Bruce reports: “We can report that Carl is frail but improving, no pain from hip operation. Pat has settled in but is only in a temporary room. Her health has improved and she is looking well.”

A good word for …
• The Freemasons Victoria office team were joined on Friday for an online wine and cheese ‘late afternoon’ by Richard Elkington (Grand Master-Elect) and Tony Bucca (Deputy Grand Master-Elect). The Zoom social gathering included the team, all working from their own homes – Ben Quick, Julia Edwards, Kelly Leventis, Michael King , Graham Berry and Damien Hudson. Grand Secretary Garry Runge said to Richard: “Thanks to you and the DGM-Elect for joining our social Zoom cheese and wine get-together. The staff appreciated a chat with each of you.”

Letters to the Editor
• Chris Andrews writes: “Congratulations Bro. Ash, for your work. It’s early times yet but the direction you have taken certainly fits the definition of the term ‘communication’. I am confident you will achieve a similar result in ‘Marketing’.”
• Sean Thomson emails: “Your initiative is wonderful. Although I’m a subscriber, I’ve now had to tell my Secretary not to forward a copy he had received from our District Co-Ordinator. I think this multi-forwarding indicates FVNews is becoming a run-away success.”
A Rough Ashlar
• Merv Hallam phoned on Saturday with good wishes for FV News. He suggested that Editor Ash Long publish his CV, so readers can be aware of his business and Masonic background. Read the mini-biography HERE
Masonic Wisdom
• “The strength of Freemasonry is in its loyalty to each other.” – Vasilios Karpos
